From the very beginning of his career he is involved in introducing unique Japanese technologies to various industries in Europe is successfully combining his passion for high-tec with love to Japan. Foundation of this carrier was the work experience in Japanese manufacturing company located in Poland, where he was responsible for entering new markets – European automotive and home appliances` sector. Patiently built thrust and understanding between two different worlds of business and culture gave a remarkable effect of long-lasting, mutually beneficial cooperation.

Next big step was joining Elematec – world leading company specialized in introducing most technologically advanced products “made in Japan” to the rest of the globe. So far involved mainly in automotive projects, currently his big target is to build a bridge between Japanese and European home appliances` sectors.

     
 

Adam Cich

Adam Cichstarted his career in Electrolux in 1996 as a Sales Manager for Poland. In 2010, he became General Manager Electrolux Poland.
Since April 2014, as General Manager Electrolux East and Central Europe, Adam Cich has been responsible for devising and implementing the company’s sales strategies in 25 countries: Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Ukraine, also in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Greece and the CIS, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

Since 2014, he has been the President of the Board at CECED Polska, an association of employers in the appliance industry in Poland. Adam Cich is a graduate of the University of Gdansk and the University of Warsaw, with degrees in foreign trade, marketing and management, and also holds an MBA degree from the University of Illinois.

In 1994-1997 Mayor of Łowicz; member of the Council by the President of the Republic of Poland for local government policy; in 1997. Łowicz received the title of the best managed city in the category of 30-50 thousand. residents, based on the European Cities Charter.From autumn 1997 associated with the financial industry. He held the functions of the President of the leasing companies : PBG Leasing Sp. z.o.o .; Kredyt Lease S.A; PKO Leasing S. A.Since 2002 he was adtiv as the Vice President of Bank Częstochowa SA, oversawing the restructurisation of the Bank and serving as a Project Manager in mBank - built from scratch, first in the country electronic bank. In 2003 as Vice President of Postbank he prepared and carried out the bank´s restructuring program and, along with the team´s of closest collaborators, has developed an innovative program to implement a wide range of financial services for post-services institutions.In years 2005-2008 as the Director of the BRE Bank SA in Warsaw he was responsible, inter alia, for strategy and governance over the bank holding company; conducted a comprehensive restructuring (under the BREactivation) operating area banku.Since 2003 he is associated with the Adam Smith Centre and since 2004 he has been a Member of the Board of the Centre and strategic advisory team leader.He is interessed in antic economic history of the world.

He was the player of Academic Sport Association (handball); practicing tennis and skiing. He likes playing bridge and traveling. He is married and has three sons.

Czesław Lang
Olympic Games medalist in cycling

Czesław Lang was born in 1955. He began his cyclist career in the LKS Bytów cyclist club. His biggest success in amateur career was a silver medal of the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980. He was twice  on the podium of the World Cup (bronze medal, 1977, San Cristobal and a silver medal, 1979, Valkenburg). As a first Polish professional cyclist  since 1982 he raced in the colors of the best Italian groups. Eight times he competed  in the Giro d'Italia and three times in the Tour de France. The biggest success in his career was victory in the Trofeo Baracchi, together with Lech Piasecki (unofficial world championship riding in pairs on time). After the end of sport career he has been CEO of the Tour de Pologne. In a short time he has restored race and introduced it to cycling champions league, UCI World Tour. He is creator of many cycling events for professionals and amateurs. He was awarded the Knight's Cross and the Officer's Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Poland.

She is the first Polish winner of international awards in the field of design management. In 2007, she won the Design Management Europe Award, which is part of the European program Admire under the patronage of Günter Verheugen, EU Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship. The winner of the European SME Week Award 2010 "The Secret of Success - The Many Faces of European Entrepreneurship", organized by the Directorate. Enterprise and Industry, European Commission. The winner of the first ever Polish "Design Oscar" - red dot design award 2008, as well as the prestigious Wallpaper Design Award 2005.

She cooperates with the biggest personalities and brands in the world of design and trends. She is one of the charcters of the book "Discovering Women in Polish Design" by Gian Luca Amadei. Since 2014 she has been a member of the working group. National Smart Specialisation (SIC 19) at the Ministry of Economy in the area of design. She advises strategically brands and public organizations such as ING Bank Slaski, Amica SA, the Polish Patent Office.

For the last 20 years associated with industrial investments, initially as project engineer, later as greenfield and brownfield projects manager. Also he held managing positions for production facilities of Swedish, French and German companies in the sectors of construction, automotive and household appliances. Konrad Pokutycki

Konrad Pokutycki has been working at BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o. since January 2000. Initially, he acted as Board Member and Financial Director, while in 2008 he was appointed President of the BSH Management Board in Poland.

Konrad Pokutycki is an economy graduate of the University of Łódź. After his graduation, for several years he was a lecturer at the Accounting Department of the University of Łódź, various business schools and at the Accountants Association in Poland. Co-author of Polish-German-English dictionary of accounting and banking terminology. Consultant in the field of financial management, tax advisory services and information systems used by consulting firms. In the years 1993-2000, he acted as Board Member and Financial Director at Rossmann Polska, at the same time overseeing the foreign markets of Central and Eastern Europe. In 2003, he was awarded the title of statutory auditor. Vice President of the Supervisory Board of ElektroEko “Organizacja Odzysku Sprzętu Elektrycznego i Elektronicznego SA”. In the years 2010-2014, appointed unanimously for two terms, Konrad Pokutycki was President of CECED Polska – the European Committee of Manufacturers of Domestic Equipment, working on a pro bono basis. This January he received a prestigious award “Wektor 2014” for his personal contribution to the development of the household appliance manufacturers’ sector as well as his innovative ideas and solutions - all consistently implemented at BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego Sp. z o.o.

He is married with two daughters. His interests include psychology in business and tennis.

Witold Stępień

Born on July 20, 1956. In 1980 graduated from the Technical University of Lodz, Electrical Faculty. He is an electronics engineer. Member of Civic Platform since January 2001. In February 2002 became the Secretary of the City of Konstantynow Lodzki. From February 2008 he acted as a member of the Board of the Lodzkie Region. In 2009 he was chosen Deputy Marshal of the Lodzkie Region responsible for transport, entrepreneurship and informatization. From the beginning he has been supervising the Lodz Agglomeration Railway, broadband Internet and regional roads modernization projects.

Appointed Marshal of the Lodzkie Region in December 2010. Operates actively within EU structures. He is a member of the Committee of the Regions and coordinator of the flagship initiative of “Europe 2020” strategy – European Platform against Poverty and Social Exclusion. In 2011 he was nominated in the “Man of the Year – Friend of the Railways” contest held by Polish State Railways PKP S.A. and Railway Business Forum. In 2012 he was a recipient of the “Man of the Year – Friend of the Railways” award. In the same year he won the Transport Innovation Award. Decorations: Gold Cross of Merit, Silver Medal for Long Service, Bronze Medal of Merit for National Defence, Bronze Badge for Merit for Polish Army Soldiers Association.

Sophia University graduated. In his previous assignment responsible for corporate reconstruction of EU located Japanese production plant, which belongs to Air Conditioner supply chain. To achieve this goal he constructed actual manufacturing cost calculating data base which reflect to sales price automatically, optimized each process location and machine for all products between Europe and Asia and reconstructed customer sales structure.

Currently he is in charge of technology marketing. He is introducing latest Japanese technology trends and its supplier to Europe. His main area of interest is home appliances (thermal management refrigerant equipment) and automotive (HMI electronics).

     
   

Hanna Zdanowska

She was born in Lodz, graduated from the High School No. 26 and from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Technical University of Lodz in a field of environmental engineering. After graduation, she disigned some of Lodz settlements - Retkinia and Radogoszcz and led her own clothing company. She served six years as the Director of the Office of Lodz Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In 2006, Hanna Zdanowska became the Councilor of the Lodz City Council, and later the Vice-Mayor of Lodz in charge of education, sport and EU funds. In autumn 2007, she was elected a Member of the Polish Parliament from the Civic Platform list. She served as the Deputy Chairman of the Special Commission "Friendly State" for matters related to the reduction of bureaucracy.

13th December 2010 Hanna Zdanowska, after the victory in the elections for the local government was sworn for the position of the Mayor of the City of Lodz. She was elected for a second term by the Lodz inhabitants already in the first round of the elections on 16th November 2014. She was sworn on the 1st December 2014.
